Shoaib Bashir, a 22-year-old off-spinner who plays for England, has signed a new contract with Derbyshire.

He will play for them for two years starting in 2026.

He used to play for Somerset, but he didn't get to play much there.

But in county cricket, he hasn't done as well, taking only 21 wickets in 23 matches.
