Nellore Rose Day Programme Offers Hope to Cancer Patients

Nellore Rose Day Programme Offers Hope to Cancer Patients

A cancer hospital in Nellore held a special Rose Day programme for patients.

The event was designed to give patients courage, confidence and hope.

Rose Day remembers a girl named Melinda Rose.

Melinda had a rare blood cancer when she was 12 years old.

She wrote poems, emails and letters to help other patients feel better.

Doctors at the programme said kindness and confidence can help people cope with cancer.

They also said cancer is not infectious, so patients should not be treated unfairly.

Survivors received roses, sweets and gifts.

Hospital staff encouraged patients to remain hopeful and make use of available treatment.
