Iranian President’s Daughter Explores Bagh Print At BRICS Summit

Zahra Pezeshkian, the daughter of Iran’s president, visited a craft stall in India.

The stall showed Bagh Print, an old style of printing cloth.

Artists used carved wooden blocks and natural colors.

Zahra asked how the colors were made.

She then dipped a block in dye and stamped cloth herself.

The craftsperson gave her a traditional shawl called an Angavastram.

Other visitors from different countries also tried the printing activity.

The event helped show Madhya Pradesh’s traditional art to international guests.
