CDS highlights gaps in countering fake news during Op Sindoor
During a talk at the Pune Public Policy Festival, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, talked about a problem they faced during Operation Sindoor.
He said that the Indian Armed Forces did not have a good way to stop fake news from spreading.
This fake news included things like videos of the Karachi port burning.
Now, they are working on creating a system to handle such fake news better in the future.
This system will help them respond to fake news on social media and other platforms.
He also mentioned that Pakistan made quick changes to its defence setup because of this operation.
