Tensions at Kolkata Law College over Puja Committee
There is a big argument at a college in Kolkata about who can help organize a religious event called Saraswati Puja.
Some students don't want former students, especially one named Dawood Aman Mullah, to be involved because they say he has been mean to them.
The students even locked their principal's office to show they are upset.
The principal says everyone can attend, but the students are worried about safety and say the principal is not listening to them.
The students also think the principal was not properly chosen for her job.
A political party supports the principal, saying everything will be fine.
This is not the first time this has happened; last year, there was a similar problem with another former student.
Students at Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College protested against the inclusion of alumni in the Saraswati Puja committee.
The main opposition is to former student Dawood Aman Mullah, who students accuse of harassment and threats.
Students locked the principal's office, alleging she is not addressing their concerns and is illegally appointed.
The principal denies the allegations, stating the committee was formed legally and all students will be treated equally.
Trinamool Congress supports the principal, dismissing the unrest as rumors and assuring a smooth Puja.
