Jane Birkin's Hermes Handbag Sells for $2.86 Million
A special Hermes handbag that belonged to the famous singer and actress Jane Birkin was sold for a lot of money at an auction in Abu Dhabi.
The bag, called a Birkin Voyageur, was sold for $2.86 million, which is much more than people thought it would sell for.
This bag is one of only a few made, and it has a special note inside written by Jane Birkin.
The money from selling the bag will help support good causes.

A Hermes Birkin handbag owned by Jane Birkin sold for $2.86 million at an auction in Abu Dhabi on December 5.
The bag, a Birkin Voyageur, was gifted to Birkin in 2003 and has a handwritten inscription inside.
The sale price was six times higher than the estimated price range of $230,000-$430,000.
The new owner, a phone buyer, has not been identified.
The bag was one of four owned by Birkin, who used to sell them for charitable causes.
