Congress Protests in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Over Public Issues
In Madhya Pradesh, the Congress Party protested in the state assembly, saying the BJP government isn't talking about important problems like farmers' struggles, joblessness among young people, and reservations for OBCs.
Instead, the BJP wants to pass a law called the Uniform Civil Code.
The Congress leader, Umang Singhar, said farmers are having a hard time because they don't have enough fertilizer or electricity, and many young people can't find jobs.
The BJP, however, thinks the Uniform Civil Code is important because it will make sure everyone follows the same laws, no matter their religion.
They also said the Congress can protest if they want to.
Congress staged a protest in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, accusing the BJP government of avoiding discussions on farmers' problems, unemployment, and OBC reservation.
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar alleged that farmers are suffering due to shortages of fertilizer and electricity, and more than 25 lakh youth are unemployed.
The BJP defended its priority on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), stating it will end polygamy and ensure equal laws for everyone.
BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma said the Congress is free to protest against the UCC, which aligns with the vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The protest highlighted the differing priorities between the Congress and the BJP government.
