Vengsarkar Criticizes Jaiswal's T20 World Cup Omission
A former Indian cricket selector named Dilip Vengsarkar is surprised and upset that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill were not chosen for India's team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Vengsarkar thinks they have been playing really well and doesn't understand why they were left out.
He worries that this might make them lose confidence.
Shubman Gill, after being left out, is practicing very hard to get better.
He will play in a big domestic tournament called the Vijay Hazare Trophy and might join the team for an ODI series against New Zealand later.
Dilip Vengsarkar criticized the omission of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill from India's T20 World Cup 2026 squad.
Jaiswal and Gill have been in good form across all cricket formats, according to Vengsarkar.
The BCCI announced the squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 and New Zealand T20I series.
Shubman Gill responded to his omission by intensifying his training at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
