Singapore Airlines Faces S$1 Billion Loss on Air India Stake

Singapore Airlines Faces S$1 Billion Loss on Air India Stake

Singapore Airlines is a big plane company in Singapore.

It bought a part of Air India, another plane company in India, in 2024.

Singapore Airlines spent a lot of money, almost one billion dollars, on its share of Air India.

But making Air India better has cost more money than expected.

A sad plane crash in India made things harder for Air India.

Air India also had trouble when a neighboring country closed its sky to Indian planes.

Because of all this, Singapore Airlines lost nearly one billion dollars.

That is a huge amount of money, more than most people will ever see.

Singapore Airlines says it will keep waiting because fixing Air India takes a long time.

Its leader says people need to be patient and think of this as a long-term project.
