Morari Bapu Begins Nine-Day Ramcharitmanas Recital at Harvard University
Morari Bapu is leading a nine-day reading and explanation of the Ramcharitmanas at Harvard University.
The programme began on August 15 and will continue until August 23.
It is being held at Sanders Theatre in Cambridge.
Harvard also hosted three days of scholarly discussions about the tradition.
The event included celebrations for Tulsi Jayanti, which honours poet-saint Tulsidas.
Professor Diana Eck described the journey of Ram, Sita and Lakshmana as an important pilgrimage across India.
Speakers said the programme brings together spiritual traditions and academic study.
