RIMS Doctors Strike After Assault Following Patient Death
A woman in Imphal died after giving birth at the hospital.
Her family was upset and protested, believing the hospital was at fault.
During the protests, someone hurt a doctor, and things were damaged.
Because of this, the doctors' group, TAMOA, stopped most services, including emergencies.
They want the people responsible to be punished before they start working normally again.
However, they are still taking care of patients already in the hospital.
A senior consultant was assaulted at RIMS hospital.
Services, including emergencies, were shut down by TAMOA.
The shutdown followed protests over the death of a patient.
