Shahjahanpur Police Launches Citizen Portal for Crime Reporting
The police in Shahjahanpur have started a new website where people can tell them about crimes and traffic problems.
This website lets people share information secretly, and it sends the information to important police officers.
These officers will look into the problems quickly.
The police will also meet with the people who use the website to talk about the problems and how to fix them.
This is to make sure everyone in Shahjahanpur is safe and the streets are better.
Shahjahanpur Police launched the Citizen Police Coordination Portal (CPCP) on January 8, 2024.
The portal allows citizens to report crimes, illegal activities, traffic problems, and incidents against women and girls.
988 people from 22 police station areas were linked with the portal on the launch day.
Complaints submitted on the portal are automatically forwarded to a WhatsApp group accessible only to senior police officers.
