AAP Wins Punjab Rural Polls
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won a big victory in the rural body elections in Punjab.
They won 63% of the zones in zila parishads and 54% in panchayat samitis.
The Congress came in second, and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was third.
The BJP and other parties won fewer seats.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said this win shows that people in rural areas support the Bhagwant Mann-led government.
He talked about the government's work like fighting drugs, bringing water to fields, and giving free electricity.
The opposition parties, Congress and SAD, said AAP didn't play fair, but AAP said the elections were done correctly.
Some seats were won by very small margins, showing close competition.
