Karnataka Congress faces Dalit CM demand
In Karnataka, India, there is a big argument within the Congress party about who should be the next Chief Minister.
Some Dalit leaders want a Dalit person to be the Chief Minister.
They are planning big meetings to ask for this.
The current Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, and his deputy, D.K. Shivakumar, are also involved in this argument.
A important Dalit leader, Dr. G. Parameshwara, is being asked to support the Dalit leaders, but he is being careful because the situation is very sensitive.
Other groups are also planning meetings to support Siddaramaiah.
The central leadership of the Congress party might need to step in to solve this problem.
Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at Mysuru airport on Tuesday, amid speculation about a leadership change in Karnataka.
Shivakumar expressed confidence that the party high command would decide on his future.
He also criticized Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, alleging that people in his own community were criticizing him.

Plans are underway to organize a major Dalit rally in the Old Mysuru region to demand a Dalit Chief Minister.
