Heavy Rain in MP: Rivers Overflow, Dam Gates Opened, Waterlogging

It rained a lot in a part of India called Madhya Pradesh.

So much water fell that rivers and streams filled up and spilled over.

Roads and fields became waterlogged, like big puddles everywhere.

Some dams, which hold water back like giant bathtubs, filled up almost to the top.

To keep them safe, workers opened the dam gates and let some water out.

People living near rivers were told to stay away from the water because it can be dangerous.

A few roads were closed because water was rushing over bridges, so people had to take other routes.

Farmers worry that too much rain could spoil their crops, but officials say the water also helps plants grow.

In one area, it rained about half as much more than last year at the same time.

Everyone is watching the weather closely and asking people to be careful until the rain slows down.
