Himachal Floods Close Roads, Strand Pilgrims in Chamba

Himachal Floods Close Roads, Strand Pilgrims in Chamba

Rain fell very heavily in a place called Himachal Pradesh in India.

The rain caused floods and made many roads close.

A strong flood broke an iron bridge in a village.

Some pilgrims, people traveling to visit a holy temple, got stuck because the bridge was gone.

About 40 to 50 pilgrims were waiting to cross.

Kind villagers came to help them.

They built a small wooden bridge so the pilgrims could cross safely.

The weather experts said more heavy rain might come the next day.

Everyone was happy the pilgrims were safe.
