Insidious: Out of the Further Targets Franchise Opening Record
Insidious: Out of the Further is a new scary movie in the Insidious series.
It is expected to open in theaters in August 2026.
Early ticket sales are similar to those for Insidious: The Red Door.
The movie may earn between $26 million and $34 million in the United States during its first weekend.
If it performs very well, it could have the biggest opening in the series.
The story follows a family pulled into a supernatural place called The Further.
A young mother named Gemma can enter that place but may accidentally bring things back with her.
Jacob Chase directed the movie, which is set to open on August 21, 2026.
Insidious: Out of the Further is projected to earn $26 million-$34 million domestically during its opening weekend.
The film’s presales are reportedly tracking closely with 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door, which opened to about $33 million domestically.
If projections hold, the film could become the biggest theatrical release of August 2026.
Exceeding the forecast’s upper end could give the film the biggest opening in the Insidious franchise.
Directed by Jacob Chase, the film is scheduled to reach theaters on August 21, 2026.
