Anuradha Thakur Appointed to RBI Central Board
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Anuradha Thakur as a new director, replacing Ajay Seth.
This means a new person will be part of the group that helps run the RBI.
The current Governor, Sanjay Malhotra, said the committee making monetary policy decisions will focus on what might happen in the future, not just what's happening now.
They will meet soon to discuss the economy and announce their decisions on August 6, 2025.
