Delhi's Air Quality Remains Poor
Delhi and nearby cities like Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad have been experiencing very bad air quality.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was 269 on Sunday morning, which is still in the 'poor' category.
Some areas, like Shadipur, had even worse air quality, reaching 335.
This means the air is not safe to breathe, especially for children, older people, and those with lung problems.
The cold weather is making the air quality worse because it traps pollutants close to the ground.
People are feeling uncomfortable and having trouble breathing.
The government is trying to fix the problem, but some politicians say more needs to be done to protect people's health.
Mumbai also had bad air quality, with Wadala reaching 272.
Experts advise people to stay inside as much as possible and use masks when they go outside.
Delhi's AQI improved slightly to 269 on 30 November 2025, moving from 'very poor' to 'poor' category.
Shadipur recorded the worst AQI in Delhi at 335, while Mandir Marg had the lowest at 158.
Nearby cities like Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad also reported poor air quality, with AQIs ranging from 233 to 267.
Mumbai experienced unhealthy air quality, with Wadala's AQI reaching 272, the highest in the city.
Delhi is experiencing one of its coldest Novembers in five years, with an average minimum temperature of 11.5°C.
