Mumbai Braces for Heavy Rain and Traffic for Ganesh Immersion
Mumbai is getting ready for the end of the big Ganesh festival, but the weather is causing some worries.
The weather forecasters say it's going to rain a lot, and the city is preparing for possible traffic jams.
The Mumbai traffic police have announced some roads will be closed or have restrictions, especially near where the Ganesh idols will be taken to the water.
If you're driving, you might need to take a different route to avoid getting stuck.
The rain is coming from a weather system in the Bay of Bengal that is making for heavy rain over Mumbai and nearby areas.
IMD issued an orange alert predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai for Anant Chaturdashi.
Heavy rains are expected to continue until Sunday morning.
Traffic police have announced restrictions on multiple routes due to the Ganesh Visarjan.
Vehicular movement will be restricted on key roads like the stretch from Padmashree Govardhan Bafna Chowk.
Commuters are advised to use alternate routes, including the Coastal Road.
