Fakhar Zaman Fined for Dissent in Final

Fakhar Zaman, a cricket player from Pakistan, got into trouble during a big match against Sri Lanka.

He argued with the umpire about a decision that got him out of the game.

Because of this, the International Cricket Council (ICC) fined him 10% of his match fee.

This was his first offense in two years.

He admitted he did wrong and accepted the punishment.

The match was the final of a tri-series, and Pakistan won.

Zaman also said he has changed his playing style over time and is ready to help Pakistan win the T20 World Cup.

The incident happened in the 19th over of Pakistan’s innings.

The ICC deemed Zaman's actions as a breach of Article 2.8 of the Code of Conduct, which prohibits dissent.

The sanction was issued by Reon King from the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees.

On-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Asif Yaqoob, along with third umpire Rashid Riaz and fourth umpire Faisal Afridi, reported the incident.
