LG Saxena Inaugurates Nine-Day Ladakh Book Festival in Leh

A big celebration of books has opened in Leh, a city in Ladakh.

Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena started the festival, and it will last for nine days.

Many books are on display in different languages, like Hindi, English, Urdu, and Ladakhi.

About 75 publishers have set up stalls to show their books.

The festival was organized by three groups working together: the National Book Trust, the Ladakh Administration, and the Indian Army.

It wants to help people in Ladakh read more and learn new things.

Ladakh is very far away and has very cold winters, so it can be hard to get books there.

The leader also said that 70 libraries were recently opened across Ladakh to help young people read.

Books help us learn, think, and feel calm and happy.
