Adam Pietkiewicz to Receive TIFF Award for Nagaland Film

Adam Pietkiewicz is a cinematographer, which means he helps decide how a movie looks.

He will receive an award at the Toronto International Film Festival for his work on Angh.

Angh is a film directed by Theja Rio and set in Nagaland during the 1960s.

It tells the story of Anghba, a village chief who has been left alone with his family.

The film shows his struggle to survive as his world changes.

Pietkiewicz used 16mm film to make the images feel textured and close to the characters.

Other TIFF honorees include Helen Mirren, Seth Rogen, Bassam Tariq and Fan Bingbing.
