Central Railway Launches Real‑Time LED Displays at CSMT
Central Railway has put up bright LED screens at the big train station in Mumbai called CSMT.
These screens show which trains are coming and going, how long they will be on the platform, and if they are delayed.
The information updates every five minutes, so people can see the latest news without asking at a counter.
The screens can show up to 12 trains at once and can display text in many languages.
This helps travelers know where to go and when to catch their train, making the whole journey easier.
Central Railway installed IP‑based LED displays at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
Screens show real‑time arrival and departure data for up to 12 trains over a four‑hour window.
Information refreshes automatically every five minutes via the National Train Enquiry System.
Displays are high‑brightness, multilingual, and include graphics and videos.
The system aims to reduce confusion and improve passenger convenience during peak hours.
