Bhopal's Moti Masjid Barricading Under Review, MANIT Experts Explore Alternatives
In an old part of a city called Bhopal, there is a busy spot called Moti Masjid Crossing.
Earlier, the police put up barriers on the roads there.
The barriers stopped cars from driving the wrong way and causing traffic jams.
But shopkeepers near the crossing were unhappy.
They said the barriers made it hard for customers to reach their shops.
So the police asked smart engineers from a big technical college called MANIT to help find a better solution.
The engineers are looking at old videos and photos to see how traffic used to move.
They will also talk to the shopkeepers to hear their concerns.
Then they will write a report with their ideas, and everyone will meet to decide what to do next.
Traffic police and MANIT experts are examining alternatives to barricades near Moti Masjid Crossing in Old Bhopal.
The review follows complaints from traders over traffic restrictions at the crossing.
BMC and Public Works Department officials also attended the Tuesday meeting on the issue.
Experts reviewed old photographs and videos of traffic movement to assess patterns before the barricades were installed.
A final decision will be made only after MANIT experts submit their report and a meeting is held with all concerned parties.
