NCDEX Launches Rural Mutual Fund Platform
NCDEX, a big Indian exchange, has made a new website and set of tools called NCDEX Nidhi.
It lets people in villages and small towns buy mutual funds, which are like big savings pools.
The site is easy to use, works with many payment apps, and lets people invest in one go or slowly over time.
NCDEX will work with many big fund companies and help local farmer groups become fund sellers.
This should help more people in rural India put their money into the stock market instead of gold or fixed deposits.
NCDEX launched NCDEX Nidhi, an API‑first mutual fund platform for rural India.
The platform offers accurate timestamping, universal SIP autopay, lump‑sum and flexible SIP options.
NCDEX plans to partner with 20 top asset management companies and use its 800‑plus farmer producer organization network.
FPOs can obtain two types of mutual fund licenses—internal distribution and public sales—through NCDEX.
NCDEX also aims to introduce weather‑related derivatives and expand into Sri Lanka and Bangladesh securities markets.
