Wrexham Man Diagnosed With Terminal Brain Tumour After Wife’s Urge
Josh Smith, a 34‑year‑old man from Wrexham, started having headaches and brain fog in January.
He ignored them, but his wife Kelly thought something was wrong and got him to see a doctor.
After a CT scan, doctors found a big brain tumour called glioblastoma.
They removed most of it, but the cancer is still deadly.

Josh Smith, 34, from Wrexham, was diagnosed with a 4.5‑cm glioblastoma after persistent headaches were ignored for months.
His wife Kelly urged him to seek help; a CT scan at Wrexham Maelor Hospital revealed the tumour, leading to referral to the Walton Centre in Liverpool.
Surgery removed about 95 % of the tumour, but doctors confirmed the cancer was terminal; Josh has since completed radiotherapy and is undergoing chemotherapy.
The couple had planned a family and campervan trips, but now focus on daily memories and encouraging others to heed persistent symptoms.
Josh and Kelly are campaigning for increased Welsh government investment in brain‑tumour research and better access to treatments.
