Xavi's Application for Indian Team Coach Denied by Reports
It was initially reported that Xavi Hernandez, a famous soccer coach, applied to be the coach of India's national team.
However, later reports say this is not true.
Now, it seems the Indian soccer organization might have used his name to make the job seem more important.
The organization is looking for a new coach after the last one left because the team wasn't doing well.
They have picked three potential coaches to choose from.
Reports contradict earlier claims that Xavi Hernandez applied for the Indian national team head coach position.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano stated 'zero talks' occurred between Xavi and the AIFF.
Spanish journalist Ferran Correas suggests the AIFF used Xavi's name to raise the profile of the coaching role.
The AIFF shortlisted Stephen Constantine, Štefan Tarkovič, and Khalid Jamil for the coaching position.
The AIFF is seeking a new coach after Manolo Marquez's departure, following recent losses.
