Sikkim Introduces Six Bills in Budget Session

The Sikkim government introduced six new bills in their Assembly.

These bills aim to do several things: set up a new medical council to regulate traditional medicine practitioners, make changes to the laws that govern private universities, and create new rules for open schooling and vocational education.

The bills will be discussed and voted on over the next three days of the budget session.

Some people support these changes because they believe they will improve quality and accountability, while others are worried that the new rules might be too strict and could make it harder for universities and practitioners to operate.
