Indian Biotech Achieves Milestone in Liver Failure Treatment
Imagine your liver gets sick and can't work well.
Scientists at Tulsi Therapeutics made a special medicine called Tulsi-28X to help.
This medicine is made from tiny helpers called exosomes and stem cells.
They tested it on animals with liver problems, and it worked!
The animals' livers got better, like magic.
Now, they want to test it on people to see if it can help them, too.
This could be a big step forward in helping people with liver problems.
Tulsi Therapeutics announced a successful animal trial of a stem cell-exosome therapy for chronic liver failure.
The therapy, Tulsi-28X, showed 100% reversal of liver fibrosis in treated animals, with zero deaths.
The study was conducted in collaboration with global experts and presented at the AASLD 2024 Liver Conference.
Tulsi-28X is a first-in-class regenerative therapy derived from mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes.
Human clinical trials are planned in collaboration with Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
