Six Booked Over Alleged Repeated Sexual Assault in Karnataka

A 22-year-old woman told police that several people repeatedly sexually assaulted and threatened her.

She said the trouble began after she travelled from Bengaluru to Yadgir during family difficulties.

According to her complaint, one man promised marriage and took her to a house near the railway station.

She alleged that two railway police personnel also assaulted and threatened her.

Other men allegedly took her to lodges, an isolated place, and a room in different parts of Karnataka.

She said promises of marriage, a job, shelter, medical help, or identity documents were used to gain her trust.

She also alleged that she was kept in a room for two days and assaulted repeatedly.

She eventually left Aland and boarded a bus toward Shahapur.

A passenger called emergency services, and officials rescued her and took her to a state-run shelter before she filed a complaint.
