Ram Temple Forms Permanent Religious Committee
The Ram temple in Ayodhya has created a special group of nine religious leaders to take care of all the daily prayers, big festivals, and other religious activities.
This group will make sure that everything follows the traditional way of worshipping Lord Ram as a child, called Ram Lalla.
There are some people who want to follow a different tradition, but the temple is sticking to the Ramanandi tradition.
The group will also be in charge of training and managing the priests.
They are still working out the details of how everything will work.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust formed a permanent nine-member religious committee.
The committee will oversee daily worship, major festivals, Vedic rituals, and priest management.
The committee is headed by Mahant Govind Dev Giri and includes prominent Hindu seers and scholars.
The temple follows the Ramanandi tradition, worshipping Lord Ram as Ram Lalla.
There have been objections to adopting non-Ramanandi traditions, particularly the Ramanujacharya tradition.
