Elderly Men Duped in Digital Arrest Scams

Two elderly men were tricked by scammers who called them and said they were in trouble with the law.

The first man, a 75-year-old retired professor, was told he was involved in a terror case and had to pay ₹10 lakh or he would be arrested.

He was so scared that he sent the money.

Later, he found out it was a scam and told the police.

The second man, a 77-year-old from Nagpur, was told that a bank account was opened in his name for money laundering.

The scammers, pretending to be police officers, told him to pay ₹45 lakh to avoid arrest.

After paying, he realized it was a scam and reported it to the police.

Both men lost a lot of money, but the police are now investigating.
