Precious Metals Rise on Weak Dollar
On Friday, the prices of gold and silver went up in India.
This happened because the US dollar became weaker, which made these metals cheaper for people in other countries.
There are also some big worries in the world, like problems between the US and Venezuela, and protests in Iran.
Some people think the US might put very high taxes on oil from Russia.
All these things made people want to buy gold and silver more.
Experts are also waiting to see what happens with jobs in the US, which might affect how much interest the US government charges on loans.
Gold and silver prices rose in the domestic futures market on Friday.
MCX gold February futures were up 0.20% at ₹1,38,012 per 10 grams.
MCX silver March futures were up 0.72% at ₹2,45,072 per kg.
The dollar index eased, making precious metals cheaper for overseas buyers.
Geopolitical uncertainties, including US-Venezuela tensions and Iran protests, supported gold prices.
