Dhurandhar OTT Version Sparks Backlash
The movie Dhurandhar, which was a big hit in theaters, is now on Netflix.
But some people who watched it on Netflix are upset because the colors are not as bright, the movie is about nine minutes shorter, and some strong words have been softened.
There is some confusion about who made these changes, with some saying the director didn't approve them and others saying the version submitted was already edited.
Many people still like the movie and its performances, but some wish it was more like the original theater version.
Fans are asking Netflix to either put up the full, original version or take the movie down.
The OTT version of Dhurandhar has more muted color grading compared to the theatrical release.
The runtime is shortened by approximately nine minutes in the OTT version.
Some dialogue has been softened or beeped out in the OTT version.
There is confusion about whether the changes were made by the streaming platform or the filmmakers.
Despite the changes, the film's performances and action sequences continue to be praised.
