CBI Court Sentences Three to Imprisonment for Excise Duty Fraud
Three men were found guilty in a court in Ahmedabad for cheating the government.
They pretended to export goods to get a big refund on taxes, but they didn't really export anything.
The court said they have to go to jail for three years and pay a fine.
One of the men is still running away.
The government lost a lot of money because of this trick.
Three men were sentenced to three years in prison for fraudulently claiming an excise duty rebate of Rs 1.18 crore.
The convicts are Samir Fateh Mohammad Immamudin, Tejas Arvindbhai Desai, and Amit Murarilal Gupta.
Each was fined Rs 50,000 for their involvement in the fraud.
