NFR Honors Captain Sunil Kumar Chowdhary
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has renamed a powerful train engine, called a locomotive, in honor of a brave soldier named Captain Sunil Kumar Chowdhary.
He was a part of the 7/11 Gorkha Rifles and received two important awards for his bravery: the Sena Medal and the Kirti Chakra.
Captain Chowdhary showed great courage during a mission in Assam, and he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
The NFR chose to name the locomotive after him because it represents strength and endurance, just like the soldiers who protect India.
This locomotive will travel across the railway network, reminding everyone of the brave soldiers who keep the country safe.
