Karnataka Bank Modernizes with IBM for Faster Services
Karnataka Bank, a big bank in India, teamed up with IBM to make their digital banking better.
They used special technology from IBM to create a new system that helps them do things like digital payments and loan processing faster and more securely.
This new system also helps them talk to other systems and services easily.
The bank's boss said this is a big step in their plan to be more digital.
IBM said this helps banks work better and faster.
The project was led by a company called Fyrii, and it's part of the bank's big plan to celebrate 100 years of service.
Karnataka Bank collaborated with IBM to modernize its digital banking infrastructure using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration on Red Hat OpenShift.
The new API platform is secure, scalable, and agile, enabling faster service delivery and reducing operational costs by 30%.
The platform supports digital payments, loan processing, and third-party integrations, with improved security and scalability.
The implementation was led by Fyrii, with support from IBM's Expert Labs, as part of Karnataka Bank's digital transformation strategy, Startup@100.
The new infrastructure allows seamless communication between internal, external, and cloud systems, including integration with services like UIDAI, CERSAI, GST, Reg-Tech, and CBDT.
