US Corporate Bankruptcies Surge in July to Highest Since 2020

It was the worst month for bankruptcies since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

A lot of companies are having a tough time because of high interest rates and problems with getting supplies.

If this keeps up, 2025 could have the most bankruptcies in a long time.
The companies that make industrial and consumer goods are especially affected.
US corporate bankruptcies surged in July, reaching the highest monthly total since 2020.
71 large companies filed for bankruptcy in July, up from 66 in June.
