Rajasthan Colleges Offer Admission Boost for Black Belt Holders
The Rajasthan government is trying to help girls get into college.
Girls who have earned a black belt in self-defense will get extra points when they apply.
This means they have a better chance of being accepted.
The government hopes this will encourage more girls to go to college and learn how to protect themselves.
Also, there are no age limits now, so anyone can go to college, even if they are older or have taken time off.
To make things even better for girls, there is also a bonus for girls in co-ed colleges.
Rajasthan government offers 5% bonus marks to girls with black belts in self-defense for college admissions.
This initiative aims to empower young women and boost female enrollment.
Age restrictions for college admission have been removed, allowing anyone to enroll regardless of age.
The enrollment for girls has increased from 52.15% in 2021-22 to 61% in 2025-26.
3% bonus marks are also offered to girls in co-education colleges.
