Noted Author Mehru Jaffer Dies in Goa
Mehru Jaffer was a well-known writer and journalist.
She had just finished a book-reading event in Lucknow and was heading back to her home in Goa.
While in the hospital, she developed a blockage in her intestines.
This blockage caused a serious infection called sepsis.
Unfortunately, her condition got worse and she passed away.
Her cousin, Naheed Verma, said the death was unexpected.
She had been living in Goa since her mother died.
The news is sad for her fans and friends.
