UIDAI Revises Aadhaar Service Fees Starting October 2025
UIDAI, the organization that issues Aadhaar cards, is changing how much it costs to update your Aadhaar information.
Starting in October 2025, updating things like your address or photo will cost more.
Updating your basic details like name or address is free if you update at the same time as a biometric update.
For kids aged 7-15, biometric updates will be free for a year.
They plan to raise fees again in 2028.
These changes are designed to manage the costs of providing these services.
UIDAI is revising its Aadhaar service fees effective October 1, 2025.
Charges for biometric updates will increase, with some exceptions.
Updating demographic information will cost more unless combined with a biometric update.
Document update fees will increase at enrollment centers but remain free online until June 14, 2026.
Fee increases are planned for another cycle starting October 2028.
