Global PE Investments Reach $1.5 Trillion Despite Deal Volume Slowdown

Imagine big money managers called private equity investors.

Between January and September of 2025, they put a huge amount of money, $1.5 trillion, into companies around the world.

Even though they made fewer deals than last year, the total amount of money invested was still very high.

This is a bit like going to a store and buying fewer toys, but each toy you bought was more expensive, so you still spent a lot of money.

In a place called India, these investors really like putting their money because the economy is good, lots of young people live there, and people are buying more things.

However, in India, the investors actually put in less money and did fewer deals this year compared to last year.

This happened because of uncertain global politics and trade rules, like arguments about taxes on imported goods from America.

Even with fewer deals, the global investment total is looking strong for the whole year.
