Protests Force Nazirakhat Toll Plaza to Stop Charging Locals
People in Dimoria were very upset because they had to pay toll fees even though they were supposed to be free.
They had a big meeting and complained about how this was causing problems for everyone, like farmers, traders, and workers.
The people in charge of the toll plaza said they were sorry and promised to stop charging the locals and even give their money back.
They also said that people just need to show their ID cards to prove they live there and won't have to pay anymore.
But this has been a problem for a long time, and people want a permanent solution so this doesn't keep happening.
Public protests and intervention by civil bodies forced the Nazirakhat Toll Plaza to stop charging local vehicles.
The issue was discussed at a meeting organized by the Brihattar Dimoria Nagarik Suraksha Samiti and other local organizations.
Residents complained about inconvenience and harassment due to arbitrary toll collection and infrastructural shortcomings.
Ankit Tandon Enterprises, the toll operator, assured free passage for locals upon verification of identity documents and committed to refunding collected toll amounts.
Vehicle owners have until January 10 to submit their documents to ensure uninterrupted free passage.
