Viral 'Venom-Like Meteorite' Video Debunked: Scientific Explanation
A man in Panama posted videos online of a strange object, which many people thought was a meteorite that was turning into something like the Marvel character Venom.
The videos went viral and got a lot of attention.
Some people thought it might be aliens or some kind of new technology.
But a user on Reddit found out that the object was just a mix of two common materials, a type of silicone and a solvent.
When the solvent evaporates unevenly, the silicone shrinks in a strange way, which made it look like the object was alive.
A TikTok user in Panama posted videos of a rock-like object.
The object appeared to change color and texture, resembling the character Venom.
Videos went viral, sparking speculation about aliens.
A Reddit user identified the substance as a mix of PDMS and hexane.
The movements were caused by uneven solvent evaporation.
