Revised Thiruvananthapuram Ward Delimitation Announced
The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation is changing how its wards are divided.
They've redrawn ward boundaries to make sure each ward has a similar number of people and houses, addressing the uneven distribution.
Some old wards are gone, and new ones have been created, including one for the Vizhinjam International Seaport.
This update is happening because the population was uneven.
They aim for about 4,000 houses and 8,000-11,000 people in each ward for better services.
It ensures a fair distribution of population across the area.
The Delimitation Commission notified revised ward delimitation for Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
The number of wards will increase from 100 to 101.
New wards include Port ward (Ward 65), including the Vizhinjam International Seaport.
Ward division was done scientifically considering the number of houses and population.
The population in each ward will average 8,000-11,000 after delimitation.
