Mount Etna: Europe's Tallest and Most Active Volcano

Mount Etna is like a giant, busy mountain in Italy that is always doing something!

It's the tallest and most active volcano in Europe, and it's been erupting for a super long time, even longer than many countries have been around.

Sometimes it gently spills out hot lava, and other times it has big, bright bursts that light up the sky.

Even though it can be a bit scary, the ground around Mount Etna is very good for growing grapes and other plants, helping farms and vineyards do well.

Because it's so special and important for science and nature, it's been given a special world heritage award.
