Mercedes-Benz India Plans January Price Rise Amid Costs

Mercedes-Benz India plans to make its cars more expensive in January.

CEO Santosh Iyer said the rupee remains weak against the euro.

He also cited shipping costs and inflation as reasons for considering a price rise.

The company has not yet decided how large the increase will be.

It expects to decide closer to December.

Mercedes-Benz India said it sold 15,190 vehicles from January through September, about 8% more than a year earlier.

The company also said July through September was its best-ever quarter for sales.

It expects 2026 to be its best year for total sales.

Deliveries of its new S-Class Maybach plug-in hybrid are expected to start by the end of October.
