Jeff Bridges on 'Tron: Ares' Box Office: 'Things Can Grow on You'
Sometimes, people decide if a movie is good or bad right after it comes out based on how much money it made on its first weekend.
Jeff Bridges, who was in the new Tron movie, thinks this isn't always fair.
He said that movies can sometimes get better in people's eyes over time, like how a movie called 'Heaven's Gate' was not liked at first but is now seen as a great movie by some.
He believes that even if a movie doesn't make a lot of money right away, it doesn't mean it's a bad movie forever.
He even compared it to how sometimes you don't like something at first, but then you learn to like it later, just like his character The Dude might say, 'That's just like your opinion, man!'
Jeff Bridges commented on the immediate judgment of movies based on opening weekend box office performance.
'Tron: Ares' debuted with $33.5M domestically and $60.5M globally, falling short of initial expectations.
Bridges cited 'Heaven's Gate' as an example of a film initially considered a flop but later viewed as a masterpiece.
He believes that a film's perception and appreciation can grow over time, independent of its opening weekend success.
'Tron: Ares' starred Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, and Gillian Anderson, among others.
