Poco X8 Power Review: Huge Battery, Striking Design, Trade-Offs
Poco’s X8 Power is a phone made for people who want a battery that lasts a long time.
Its 10,000mAh battery lasted about two days with moderate use in the review.
It can also charge another phone in an emergency.
The phone has a large, bright screen and a design that stands out.
It is fairly heavy, though, because the battery is so large.
Everyday tasks work well, but demanding games and multitasking can cause slowdowns.
The cameras are useful, but they are not the phone’s strongest feature.
The review says it makes the most sense for frequent travellers and people who do not want to carry a charger.
Poco launched the X8 Power in India at ₹35,999, with a 10,000mAh battery.
In testing, it lasted about two days with moderate use and scored 26 hours, 44 minutes in PCMark.
The phone supports 100W charging and 27W reverse charging; a full charge took about 30–50 minutes in testing.
Its 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, IP69K rating and distinctive yellow vegan-leather design are highlighted strengths.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is adequate for everyday use, while camera performance and demanding multitasking are less impressive; the 256GB model costs ₹38,999.

Battery and travel
Reasons to consider it
The 10,000mAh battery lasted about two days with moderate use, making the phone appealing to travellers and people who want to avoid carrying a charger.
Reasons to look elsewhere
The large battery contributes to a weight of 223 grams and a thickness of 8.65mm; charging it still took about 30–50 minutes in testing.
Performance and cameras
Reasons to consider it
The processor handles normal use well, and the main camera performs well in good light; the phone can also record 4K video at 30fps on its rear and selfie cameras.
Reasons to look elsewhere
Heavy multitasking can stutter, frame rates may fall during extended gaming, and the ultrawide camera is only adequate for occasional use.
Value and storage
Reasons to consider it
The ₹35,999 model offers a distinctive design, a large AMOLED display, IP69K protection and long software support.
Reasons to look elsewhere
The review says the 256GB model at ₹38,999 is the more sensible choice because it uses UFS 4.1 storage, while the 128GB version uses UFS 2.2.
